Admit uncertainty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Express your ideas with <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The goal of changing people\u2019s minds<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instead of repelling them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Talk about your personal experiences<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And actual, factual, vetted examples <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of what you are talking about<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instead of rumors and sensationalized <\/p>\n\n\n\n
News stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Try being the nicest person on the thread. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Start with an actual desire to be listened to <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rather than a desire to prove how right you are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be civil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If all you do is yell<\/p>\n\n\n\n
